Strategic Partners
Joe Pepe
Executive Partner (Management & Media)
A distinguished senior executive with over 30 years’ experience as a CEO, president and COO in the media and communications industry.
Pepe is highly skilled in ‘change management’, operations, organizational structure, strategic goal setting, marketing, communications and optimizing sales.
Pepe has been very successful in helping companies develop: revenue generation strategies; tactics to improve operation efficiencies while lowering costs; improved internal processes; and ‘smart’ organization restructuring.
Another area of Pepe’s professional strength is in C-level coaching and mentoring. Executive coaching sessions help senior managers improve their interpersonal communications skills, broaden their perspective on all aspects of company operations, evolve into ever-increasing cross-functional roles AND most importantly improve overall P&L performance while driving a competitive advantage.
Prior to affiliating with MIDTC, Pepe served as COO for Civitas in Davidson, North Carolina and President of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. His media and communications career include senior leadership positions with Scripps Howard, Pulitzer, Howard Publications and Gannett Co, Inc.
Pepe earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 1977 and he worked on his MBA at the University of Texas El Paso. He taught advertising and marketing at Western Washington University from 1984-1986.
